There is no difference. I did try to trigger AD200 from on camera V1C or V860IIC, HSS is not working. Not working with Flashpoint trigger, not working with any curtain mode. Godox answered to me by email that HSS is not available with canon R5. ETTL only works correctly with shutter slower then 1/250.
I found that using a low-end adapter was causing the problem. I purchased a new 128GB microSD card with adapter and popped in the cheaper 2GB microSD card to format and it worked like a charm. Copied the "FIR" file and updated the firmware. The micro-SD cards with adapters are nor recommended for use in Canon DLRSs.
12-17-2022 11:50 AM. My older speedlites 430EX III-RT, 470EX-AI & 600EX II-RT are all compatible and fit the multi-function hot shoe of the R6 Mark II and work just fine. But the 600EX II-RT requires the AD-E1 adapter because the speedlite has weather sealing. The OP may need this adapter if the speedlite doesn't fit correctly.
11 1 2. Best guess, check your flash exposure compensation -- press the ISO/flash exposure compensation button on top of the camera. Check the LCD, if the indicator is far too the left, that is your problem -- correct with the rear dial. – Patrick Hurley.
I am also having issues with external flash on my Canon 5D Mk III. Not certain of this is 100% related to Live View. Specifically, I am triggering 3X Profoto B1 Off-Camera Flash using a Profoto Air Remote TTL-C radio trigger. I've been shooting with these flashes for over a year without problems, but within the past two weeks flash triggering
If it reports that external flash is attached then what that means is that the sensor in the hot shoe is likely stuck. The shot shoe has two "rails" that hold an external flash and each rail has a "leaf spring". Use a toothpick (or something that wont scratch the camera) and *carefully* lift the springs.
This setting enables you to adjust the ratio of ambient light to Speedlite light output. Set the balance to [Ambience priority] to lower the proportion of flash output and uses ambient light to produce lifelike shots with a natural mood. Especially useful when shooting dark scenes (indoors, for example).
Shooting Mode with Limited Flash Settings. 1. Turn on the [Power] on the camera. 2. Move the [Flash pop up] switch to raise the flash. NOTE: The flash will not auto pop-up. It must be manually raised with the switch. 3. Press the [ ] button.
